  11. Wrench97, where are all of these old trucks? Are these recent pictures? There are trucks from the '20s if not the teens in that lineup!

This saddens me. We used to go up north fishing a lot when I was younger and drove by these trucks when they were still in one piece and just sitting along a fence line. Went up there this summer for the first time since around 1988 and the trucks were still there, but a bit the worse for wear. The semi was a fairly rare 550 series GMC from 1957-ish, with what I thought was a three cylinder diesel. Might be able to save the front bumper from the 58-9...

Why do people go to the trouble of smashing something up but then just leave it? Should've just left it alone to begin or sold them for a very reasonable amount.

Was online looking for some info and run across some rotting relics.
The jag on the trailer, I spotted it online , and its actually about a mile or 2 up the road from my house...its been there for years along with some other rigs and even a old bubble nose helicopter thats inside a van trailer.
Vacant land no house or buildings everthing has California plates on them , the land is in Oregon, the jag does have a new blue tarp on it, a guy that has the property next door got tired of people stopping at his place asking about it so he covered it back up. 16076200383825111002449421331762.jpeg 1607620181669791077328189025888.jpeg 16076201574355183392779049253260.jpeg 1607620072905308610392603751779.jpeg 16076202194248261811960910899366.jpeg 16076203710003401632085644951949.jpeg 16076196563047538419348153426637.jpeg 16076204566857848217866841746892.jpeg

Is that a Caddy V8 driving that old Ford Flathead? Wonder if they just put grease fittings in the main bearing caps to make the crank bearing live in the driven flathead? Steve

That was the #1 piss off that would really piss me off when I was told that ...and it was many.
Next one was "let me talk to the wife"...one time I followed that one up with a "well ...I will just talk to her then", as I'm walking away, he mumbled something....and I returned a "because apparently she's the one that wears the pants"
He wasn't mumbling this time and I didn't stick around to hear what he had to say.
Later in years I started to become that "Gonna fix it up someday ."...guy.
I now will let them go, after awhile , once I decide its for the best.

Just got my new calendar from my local P.U.D. .
This is the shot for May 2021 by Connie Paulson.
I guess this kind of says..".Ya we're letting the old truck sit and rot ...but we still care"
It says bellow the photo ...Fred Luttrell's 1957 International pick up.
The Luttrell family were strawberry growers in my area when I was growing up, they owned hundreds and hundreds of acres of strawberries.
This truck must of been Fred Sr's because Fred Jr. and all of his brothers and cousins, attended high school in the early 60's , and they all owned various new early 60's SS 409 and 348 4spd Chevrolet Impala's and Bel-Airs. 20201211_201224~2.jpeg

Now this is interesting...saw it online , but there was no story to go with it.
Did they have a clue that it was there?
Or did they just happened to find a roof panel and figured....what are the chances it could be the....holly crap! 16077541685154679453150421835373.jpeg
