  1. Pretty nice Marlin right up by you in Olympia. Seems if you find one it is always a total turd or pretty nice.https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/d/olympia-1966-amc-marlin/7232620227.html

  3. Here's my idea of a Cadillac concept that I did a while back that I named the Vista Dome. I wouldn't mind having one in my garage:cool:

Warhoops had that and some other GM Concepts? Huh.

The headlights make it look like that car's father was also his uncle.
Glad they turned the cove around for the Corvette.

I know @41 GMC K-18 mentioned Corvair Looking at Your Avatar...I see Corvair in it...I'll bet that One of One influenced the Corvair...

Doesn't resemble any of the 55's I ever owned. Bucket of ugly to me. Just my opinion though.

    Interesting comments on this.
Can’t help wondering if it was put into production in 1955 and was Chevrolet’s only option for that year, how many of the above naysayers on here would have fallen in love with it as a teenager and now be hot rodding or customising one............

    I really like it......

I would suspect if the Public Mowed the Show and Dealers down with want they might have but it didn't because it missed the mark...

Sometimes I think they had jam sessions in the Design Studio and took all the elements being tossed around for the up and coming production runs and said have a little fun with this stuff and make something that'll take one to the Moon where Alice is...;)

That thing does have some angles that talk despite some misses...

On that car, the high windshield looks like a receding hairline. Doesn't work for me. The back looks Corvair-ish from the side.

The oversweeping windshield however critiqued seems a nod to the Bubbletop/Cockpit and also may have been visability/safety related...

with the receding hairline look of the windshield and no visors you would not be able to drive towards the sun.

you would only be able to drive towards the North or to the South on sunny days.

You mean 56 Chev Rear taillight Trim Passenger...I think...55 was similar but less tall...I still believe this Biscayne was loaded with multiple items that were used post its production...

No, I meant Corvette. If the bezels on the front fenders where repositioned as on the rear quarters on a vette they look very similar. IMO

Gotcha...It was a shape that was resized and slightly altered at the design level and influenced these parts...I can't help but think about the eyes of the Custom World and the Auto Maker Design Teams being influenced by one another I mean this was the Rocket Age and things were booming...

I see a 56 Corvette with an inspired Sculpted Side Body in reverse and I guess the Bumpers are certainly Inspired by...

The 1 thing I have noticed about the car is its stance. The body sits low and covers the frame rails. It looks like a unitized body but being fiberglass and no B pillar it would need a chassis.
I like the car from some angles, but the head lights hood and grill let it down.
Some of its styling speaks of things to come.

   ...sorry to wilt your cornflakes...was I a little bit right...:D

Jim I said it was a Bit of Nod to the Bubble Top Not A Bubble Top....

Remember this was a time when glass was starting to provide more sightlines...funny the Biscayne has a smooth ribbed inner roof panel, almost looks like is might have been see through from inside...
