  2. Thanks; you're right of course, it must be a stock '41 molding, the lack of the V/8 or 6 emblem was throwing me off. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Just brought my 47 home after a few weeks in the body shop getting the rear end fixed up after a kid in a Ford Escape ran into me.

Like the way you rounded the corner of the hood. Do you plan on doing the bottom the same way.?
The cowl looks clean with the front vent smoothed over. Waiting to see it finished.

Pulled the headers to repaint while the front clip was off. They were advertised as fitting Fat Fender Fords when I bought them but my 48 was too Fat  LOL
Ended up using an extra set of flanges/gaskets along with denting some areas to make work.
Any one else have this (she's too fat for my headers) trouble  extra spacer flange.jpg curing header paint.jpg

  18. Yup! When I started this thread a million years ago, I was considering a '46 sedan purchase and wanted some post-war inspiration to help in the decision process. I'm glad to open it up for '41 to '48 Fords and Mercs 'cause we're all in the family!

  24. Don't know why the photos posted double so I delete them and will try again , so the first pic is how it was found in a Junkyard in Montana and the 2nd pic is 4 years later. My46.Convertible.jpg 46.Convertible.1246.jpg
