  18. That time of year again. Christmas "mini" photo sessions today and next weekend. 20201128_132003.jpg 20201128_123357.jpg

  19. 1939 and 1940 were good years (design-wise) for just about all makes, but the 1940 Ford was the pinnacle of good design. Everything from overall body design, to dashboard, and even details like the chevron taillights.... perfect! 1941.... uh, not so much.

  25. Here's some 40's I did bodywork and paint on the 90's and 2000's. My red '40 pickup 1995, purple '40 convert 2001, blue '40 delivery 2003, black '40 sedan 2014, my avatar primered '40 coupe hopefully Black in 2021. I painted the yellow '38 in 2005. I didn't do the red '34. I did these for a friend of mine. He passed away last year. We got these together and drove them to his funeral. He ashes were in the '40 delivery. A great ride to the cemetery for him, but a sad drive for us. I hope they are not to off topic.

  30. I played with two of the three '40s yesterday.

Since I haven't added a puke can on the panel, and it is prone to pushing out coolant through the overflow tube, I had only been dumping water back into it over the summer. I figured since we were starting to have temps dip below freezing, I should probably dump some undiluted antifreeze into the radiator. To help facilitate circulating it, I ran it down the highway to one of the MO State Forest locations and took some pics in the parking lot.

Later in the day, the stake truck was participating in the annual Christmas Mini photo sessions with a local photographer. The whole time, I kept eyeballing the round bales in the field next to the shooting location and figured I needed a few pics in the "golden hour" after we wrapped up the shooting. The sun had actually dropped behind the trees, so I missed some of the gold tones that would have been in the pics had I gotten moved over there about 10 minutes earlier.
