Been playing around with two tone on my heap, like this maybe. If I do, something I could remove would be nice. The hood and bed sides are flat, the doors are compound curve. Would wrap work, or something else like that, and come off easily enough? Can a guy with 10 thumbs put that stuff on?

Before photo included if anyone wants to suggest something else. Or tell me to just leave it alone..:)

Hey guys could I get somebody to change the black on the rims to the same cream color as the tires please? In my mind it will look better but it’s hard to say. TIA IMG_7473.JPG

Thanks guys. That's four against, counting my wife. Yeah I've thought about a door sign. It was actually the shop truck for K&C Carburetor out of Tampa Fl. many years ago. They raced midgets, which is how it got a V8-60. But any signage would be a guess, and I'm a long way from Tampa

  9. @Peanut 1959 I didn't see any other takers on this one so I thought I'd play around with it....

You're a gem, Moose! I hope he likes it as much as I do. Pretty cool canvas to start with, regardless of how he finishes it.

Wow Moose, that looks great, much better than anything I've come up with. Almost stately, if a Bantam could ever be considered that lol. I'd have to get classier wheels. Even my wife, whose usual comment on my efforts is 'that looks like shit', held back. Her comment was 'looks like you ran out of paint'. Doesn't understand two tone I guess.

At least things are improving. :)

    Thanks!

9C1A52C0-92AA-46F2-8D15-98A036773AD9.jpeg I’ve been happy with my ‘31 pickup except for the headlight placement. These are 682c’s, which I like, but they are too high and too far apart. Can the placement be changed to show a better looking arrangement?

Perfect, thanks! It looks like I’ll be doing some bending and cutting because that is exactly the look I want.

I remember in the late 60's, all the cars in town were running black wheels with a pie shape white area painted on the back wheels. I never found out why and the fad ended after a short while. Yours is the first example I've seen in 50 plus years.

Traction was the problem back then, with the tire compounds available, and no glue on the track. Notably in the smaller classes, wheel "slippage" was a race loser. One way for the crew to be able to spot even minor spin that the driver couldn't feel was various styles of painted references on the drive wheels.

In some places it made it to the street as a fad.

Moose, I’d like to see my coupe with Wimbledon White wheels when you’ve a chance. 8ECE024C-ECD4-4C6A-99B6-E19A5A8900D2.jpeg

  28. Thanks Moose, I forgot to add I would like to see it with chrome reverse wheels with the black walls. Sorry to be a pain....
