Having just finished our 2020 season, this was fun to watch. The first 'car' of course was the now restored Miller Lakerster, Dad of Jim Miller Hot Rod Foundation, built the lakster in the side yard of his house, made his own tube headers out of flat sheet metal.
The official in the suit jacket was priceless,, unlike our current Bill Lattin that favors shorts and t shirts.
But I think we have the same thrill with a little more speed, records were meant to be broken..
Hope Jive-Bomber doesn't mind my little video or our last pass,,,,

    That's from a 1950s film, Road Runners.

Hey – We're still around keeping the SCTA running. A little respect here, okay?

Because of this Covid shit, we didn't get to cruise to El Mirage this year in our Deuce highboy. This year would have been the 5th time from San Antonio to the dry lake. I have no more fun anywhere than being there in our roadster and seeing all you veteran racers, many older than I am. Can't wait 'till it's safe to attend that function once again. You guys are the "salt of the racing world" without that pesky salt.
