Some of my shirts from past years, were cut up and sewn into this very cool quilt from one of my customers at the seaplane base at Oshkosh.

You don’t start it with the elevator in that position and it’s got a starter so you pull it thru in reverse rotation..... but who gives a s—t...

The P51 Mustang “Donald” owned and flowen by Bob Tullius of Group 44 Jaguar racing fame. The photo was taken at Tamiami Airport in South Miami three days before Christmas. We had just returned from an awesome flight. I have been lucky enough to ride in three different P51’s and one of those twice.

You need to show me that gets off the water. Into a head wind maybe it could lift but never go forward.

41 GMC, Is all that from Evergreen? I had heard they were closing. Did it happen? We were there on a car tour the day after they landed the 747 to be used as a waterslide or restaurant or something. Amazing place.

    Hey Jimmy six.
I always love a good challenge, and you are right to be suspicious of, if this Aeronca C-2 and C-3 "bathtub" with stock 2 cylinder Aeronca engine could get off of the water. Well here is the proof you asked for. And just so you know, there was a great local aviation historian here in Seattle named Peter Bowers, who actually flew one here on lake union many years ago and he actually flew one off of a golf course, off of the wet grass on floats, with the water rudders in the up position ! The picture of the one in the museum down at Hood River Oregon, is on the proper floats made for it by EDO, that isn't just a posed picture.
    Enjoy!
    Dennis.

    Hey noboD.
Its been a while since I was down at the Evergreen museum at McMinnville Oregon where the spruce Goose is, Not really sure what the current status of that particular museum is now, I know that it went through severe financial difficulty's . The pictures of the museum you see that I have posted is the WAAAM ( Western antique aircraft and automobile museum ) in Hood River Oregon. And just as a side note, the original Evergreen field in Vancouver Washington that was owned by Wally Olson has been closed for some time, and all that remains of it are over at the WAAAM museum. This is a picture of how cool the Evergreen field was, I attended many antique fly in's there, sad that such a great place was sold and demolished after the daughters could no longer keep up with the annual property tax.

Thanks. It may have been 2007 when were there. We heard Mr. Evergreen, whatever his name is, had lost his son who was a test pilot. We drove through miles of Evergreen owned property with miles of onions, flowers, Christmas trees, grass, etc. Not a weed in sight. Very impressive just like the museum.

Delford Smith was the man that was the owner of the Evergreen corporation.

From that time period, it could easily have been both!
