46 - 48(?) DeSoto on mine. A little belt sanding to match contour. I like them. Can't seem to upload pics ( I'm at my camp in northern Maine "quarantining"). I can try when I get home tmrw if I remember..

I mounted model a taillights on 32 mounts bolted on the frame,it puts the taillights sideways but I had these already lying around and I didn't want to mount any thing on the body. IMG_1005.JPG

  13. I think the op said highboy and stock were on the fenders. You could make them work though.

  14. I’m partial to the 1949 Lincoln tail light with their slight recess on the lower back side. No pics on an A sedan though.

stock taillights work if you use the mount from a pickup. hangs down from the frame, or body

On my last 32 Highboy sedan I ran 37 lights on So-Cal stands.

Stock Model A taillights mounted in shortened desk lamps I bought at Lowes. Stands were shaped from 2" Lucite stock.

    This is on my 28 Mercury Torpedo Salon – similar to a Model A . . .

    Sedan at Bonneville (Rear) copy.jpg

The taillights are similar to '41 Fords but have the factory Mercury logo on them.

Somehow, to me, they need to be round.

I once saw a sedan with 49-50 Ford car lights mounted vertically.......half way between belt line and bottom of the body...kinda neat & highly visable......my .02 cents

Those are nice, but I am still visually attracted to round ones. I also worry about any car that has the lights mounted at bumper level-seems likely to be less noticeable.
