Projects fixing a smashed 31 model A pickup cab.

  1. I stopped at Charlie's Friday on my way home from work. he had the floor board made and painted. he also had made a couple pins to keep the bottom of the coupe cushion from moving. the upholsterer finished the back of the seat but the slacker hadn't picked it up yet.   7. Charlie has been sorting steering out and doing a bunch of little things.. I will get some photos this week of his project.

Charlie stopped by with his camera and the gas pedal linkage he made work. he narrowed the bracket, got the throw correct and adapted the mack pedal. he said it is real comfortable and easy to move from the gas pedal to the brake.   16. here is a shot of how the white paint under the cowl helps brighten under the dash. IMG_1255.JPG Charlie used the old fuel shut off cove for the power cut out switch, easily accessible to the cockpit.

  20. me too, he is working steadily, picking away at all the details. he had a tree taken down in his front yard and I am going to haul the fire wood away for him and hope to give him a hand this weekend.

  26. I unloaded the trailer and the bed sides lifted right off. the wood had rotted completely away. IMG_1301.JPG

  27. flipped it onto the flat bed to get it off the hill. this is how this truck has been worked since I built it [1990]. post traction and a good e-brake, to get the bed off the hill. IMG_1302.JPG IMG_1305.JPG IMG_1306.JPG

  29. I thought about using that for my S10. But I am getting used to the rot holes.
