  2. Had a appointment for new mufflers this morning. It snowed a little. It’s already wet might as well drive on to work.[IMG][IMG]

  5. I bought some Paradox mufflers. I heard another SBF running them a couple of weeks ago and they have a nice rumble. They are made in Missouri too.

20181002_090919.jpg 20200516_195653.jpg Found this in a barn about 10 years ago, been making some progress over the last year. Bay area and L.A. car. It has been worked on by some highly skilled and some not so skilled craftsmen over the years. Most of the welding was with gas and coat hangers back in the day. Putting it together with what I have on hand and a few pieces that I've collected over the years.

  24. Taken just before departure to the Gathering at the Roc this past weekend.

Left to right: Kevin Raymond's 39 Convertible Sedan (wearing '40 deluxe front sheetmetal), my coupe, Andy Volpini's '40, and Billy Winburn's '40 pickup. How could a guy resist snapping this shot.

(BTW...every time I tried to get a picture of Andy with his '40, he backed away and wouldn't let that happen. I actually got him in this shot, unbeknownst to him at the time)

  26. Yeah, I really had fun getting to hang out with Andy. He fit in well with the guys I run around with!

  27. ......He's a great guy. I always give him a hard time about being a hot-rodding legend.:)....Then he calls me funny names.:D:eek:

  28. Yeah, well, he kept giving me crap about being "Famous Bret", mainly because of my shameless self promotion on the internets. He hung out with my buddies and me for lunch, then started talking about how he wanted ice cream. We told him we were going to Freddy's Frozen Custard after the show, but he went back to the hotel. When we got back, he was still fussing, so I told him I'd take him to Freddy's or Braum's, but he declined. Last I heard, he'd made it back to the Lou'vul area last night and still hadn't had any ice cream. Hopefully when he gets back to Glen Arm, he can get his Butter Pecan. LOL

  29. ............Great story! I may have to rag on him about that.........and then take him some Butter Pecan. It just so happens to be my favorite as well.:).................Don.
