Those are '56 Olds poverty caps. When I bought my '57 Olds new, I chose the '56 caps to replace the '57s that it was delivered with. I always liked 'em too.

Not only are the early Fiestas attractive statically, but IMO they look really good in motion. I think 3 bars may be the best number for attractive motion at slow cruising speed.

My Olds hubcaps are a bit banged up, but you take what you can get in UK.
Yesterday I put some colour in the centres using this car wrap stuff -

Easier than me trying to create the same thing in paint.

Caddy Spiders. Chevrolet SS spinners were hard to keep on a car back then. We used to have to screw them down or they would get stolen..

D91ABC4B-7D5F-4B44-ABE3-86325D33311D.jpeg I think if you are going for an early traditional kustom look then this is as sexy as you can get! Remember tires are just as important as the hubcap!

  18. Love the caps Mick! You definitely have the eye of an artist!

Yes, your wheels might need to be touched up, but we all know that your kooool taildragging Merc gets driven.......alot. No shame in scratched up wheels. They are small badges of honor for the many miles you've passed under your sled! E

I’ve been wanting to recreate the infamous Olds Fiesta caps with added flipper bars for quite sometime.

I bought a complete set of caps, plus two spare, and enough flipper bars to do this.

For those playing home, the REPOP bars are about 1/2” shorter than originals. Thankfully I bought the spares, as I decided to use the original flipper bars.

Not perfect, took my dumb ass hours to do, but I’m stoked on this test! Adjustments.JPG Adjustments.JPG IMG_8878.JPG IMG_8879.JPG IMG_8880.JPG
