I watched the bottom of the Moonlighter many a time in the 64-66 time period!!
He had caster wheels under the rear bumper then and .........stood it straight up at The Starlight Drag strip in Ware Shoals. He and the Skelton Brothers were ALWAYS a memory maker.

So thanks Ryan for a open shop door an giant driveway .
At 78,I still drive my 1960 high school hot rod.
Just for a tick of time running along or parked at a show ,a type of Time Machine working.! Even better with a few early rock n roll sounds playing.!
Now an than I write one of my "Way Back Story"s ,even though it takes me way to long to type an spell. Likely ,my High School English Teacher Ms Boush is having a good LOL up there, each time, but also enjoys it anyway. One of ,many things stayed with me she said. "Trading ideas is Golden"

Well, I think I posted earlier, but don't remember. Got to 65, much too fast, I'm a great grandfather, still wondering how that happened so fast, been married to the same woman forty years, like to have killed her 45 times, surprised I still get up some mornings that she hasn't killed me, my oldest kid is approaching 50, I'm retired but just finished a brutal workweek of 60 hours. Good thing I'm an equipment operator, so it wasn't as tough as it could have been, it was relief for a good friend who I'd put out superhuman effort for, good friends are treasures.
I'm rather shocked that I'm an old bastard, I never thought I'd get this far, just bought a motorcycle a few months ago, rediscovered riding, a passion I had as a younger man, still got old mary, my girlfriend of twenty years, I'll never sell her, I feel like the coolest guy there ever was when I'm driving her and I'm not an old fool then. It makes me very happy to share with like minded old fools on this board, we share aches and pains, memory loss, inability to get up off the floor, sometimes its better to grab a quick nap while you're down there, and.....by guess or by god, I'm going to bonneville next year so I can watch and help other old fools go fast. If it kills me...... DSC07687.JPG DSC07760.JPG

Ok,@ 78; maybe my last post 603 in this thread was too straight LOL,,so know I still hate primer as a finish ,an dislike seeing big ugly head lights used on a car that other wise is trying to look as though it was built in too a hot rod between 1955 n 65 an that Moon tank on the front of,not a drag car.
What I sometimes don't say ;,is I still like the cars*,but would look a lot better if shiny an or 7in. seal beams ect.. Some things are EZ to fix an often are not.
No you don't want to know why, not any more then I do; Still = I love every one that loves cars anyways,as long as they are not letting it rot ! So I guess that should of been adding to 603. ! If ya an't LOL,think about it ! This is for fun.:p

    63.
Quite willing to learn to be totally irresponsible again.
Heard a new term the other day. "Muscle memory".
    I think I have that.
Really wanna build a hot rod before I have to grow up and get a job and stuff.

Considering the demographics here I am surprised that the Medicare Supplement companies are not
