Great picture of Curtis Turner with car and plane, I read that there was a theory that they put kerosine in his tank instead of avgas and thats why he crashed shortly after take off. Also said that the wreckage was removed quickly and destroyed, implied a cover up. Real shame and loss of a real colourful character. Thanks again for great pics LB.

Bleach: The sign looks a lot like the old Waddle's by the I5 bridge. Could it be?

Be rather useless today as all the debris would be plastic.

  4. Looks similar but no. Waddles opened the Jantzen Beach location around 1945.

Woodroffe's was in Salem, OR. I haven't found much more about them.

  6. There's all kinds of nails and screws that magnet could pick up. I've had my share of them in my tires.

    Looks like a battery ad.
