Without going through all 20 pages, I would like to know who won?

So if you're grading on the curve, I'm definitely in the running..... near the top.

I will be 71 next month with 3 projects going on ( slow I might add ) . I have a 1935 Ford 2 door sedan slant back ( I have had this 35 since 1970 ) and a 1936 Ford cabriolet ( just needs a little to finish ) and a 1957 Chevy 4 door wagon, I am starting to think that I will never be done with them all ???
    Thanks and be safe,
    Ron.

You need to collect your social security. It's your money. Don't let the government keep it. If you don't want it send it to me.. I will invest it in my hot rod.

Dirt is now younger than me. Somethings I now say about getting older, I don't get the extended warranty, lifetime guarantee doesn't mean much, life in prison doesn't carry the same threat it once did

  19. This is probably an update, this thread goes back aways. I turned 70 the beginning of this month. Kind of a scary number in my mind but the reality is I'm doing just fine. Got numerous projects in various states of completion. Still working, but way less hours and riding my bicycle a 100 to 150 miles a week. Life is good.

I turned 64 in September. Before I go away I hope to get "The Call", being informed that I can finally have access to the "original full collection" of negatives and photos of Southern California Los Angeles area dirt and paved oval track racing from about 1953 to about 1975.
This collection was photographed by 2 men and one of them survived to the mid-1990s, along with the collection.
But, I was forbidden access, and the collection has disappeared, most likely thrown away, to prevent someone like me to share it and profit from it.
There is one person who knows the answer. I hope to buy him a beer some day and we can talk.

  22. Well today I crawled under the 34 that is on jack stands. Used the cardboard creeper & installed the oil pan & starter on the new 24 stud engine fresh rebuild from a 47 truck. Replaced the worn 21 stud hoping for a bit more push with the 24 stud. Damn those starters are getting heavier at 87. My bride of almost 50 yrs gave me a hand on putting in the bolts on the drivers side while I pushed the oil pan up & put in a couple of bolts to hold everything in place. Pic is before paint . The chick is my main helper. She is only 77 but still gets down & dirty to help me. She has her own cardboard creeper. DSCN4718.JPG

I turned 69 a couple weeks ago. I still do almost everything I used to do only it takes longer these days. Somedays it takes me longer to find a wrench or part I have put down some where than it does to do the job but all in all I am in pretty good health and making to most of my retirement, seven years and counting:D Life is good!!!

    A mere 68.

The only advantage I've found to getting older is...now all women between 18 and 70 look good to me now.:D

Your my hero Burn out Bob.:D I'm 65 still doing auto restoration. I don't get started as early in the morning but I get more done than most 25 yr olds. Can't see retirement in my future. Right now i'm about halfway through a O/T 70 AAR cuda restoration that hit a bridge at 80 mph in 1975. Lippy:)
