Period correct. Original equipment. Well constructed. Enjoyable. How more traditional could you get..................................just kidding.
Well... it was good timing. I was indifferent about the thread to be honest. However, I got an email last night from the Vaughn family thanking me for deleting it. I had never really thought of such a thread from their respective. in any case, it was off topic.
Not to mention how our female HAMBers may have felt about it. By the way, my comments in post #4 were sarcasm and very tongue-in-cheek.
The pc culture has arrived. Akin to the Venus DiMilo being removed just because it's been acknowledged as being beautiful. I would argue that Ms. Vaughn is as big a part of the car culture as the cars themselves.
..............Probably so, but some of the comments made during the course of the thread would be found offensive by both guys and the ladies on here. Sadly, too many of us tend to make some rather Sophomoric, even borderline misogynous comments when the herd mentality takes place. Personally, I don't feel it has anything to do with PC, but just a matter of showing respect to a very classy lady. Even in more recent years, when I'm sure she has seen more than her fair share of rude fans, I've watched her sign autographs and pose for pictures for those same fans.
I don’t really give a shit if people think I’m giving into some PC culture... how god damned PC is that?
My post was a joke btw... sometimes my humor sucks at translating. as for Linda Vaughan... I didn’t rally care one way or another as I never read that thread. However, the family cares... and that makes me care. ‘Either way, this is a hot rod site...
No man not the RED one. It's supposed to be the green one!! Side affects can be drastic if you take the red one, but what the hell they are working on a antidote should be out next spring.
What, no "little blue pill" jokes? Really do miss the thread but respect for Linda and family makes pulling the thread the right thing to do.
