RIP "Fat Jack" ... My condolences to @PRE48V-8, @JROTTEN, the rest of the Robinson family & Jack's friends.

 

Jack's cars always had their own look, and were of the highest quality. His orange 46 Coupe was one for the ages ! R.I.P. Jack.

 

Dang.
Every car he built was low & cool and he influenced others as well.

I especially liked the black full-fendered A roadster & orange '46 that barrel-rolled thru the lights at Fremont.

In 1985 (I think), I was lucky enough to make the Antique National/Inliner's International Fremont meet. Jack took delivery of the newly built '40 Tudor, got in, and ran a 140 MPH pass out of the box ... You never forget something like that.
RIP sir ...

 

Sad to hear--a very talented builder and his cars always had to look. Was there at Baylands when the 46 coupe rolled--really loved his black 39 4 door convert-must have looked at pictures of it in Rodder's Journal a zillion times.

This may be one of the coolest roadster I've seen on a while. It's way before it's time. That style would fit right in, now.

Dude had style. I know a bunch of us were teens in the 80s and his 46 got into a lot of our heads

Well damn. That orange coupe is in my top 10 baddest cars of all time. RIP

I remember following the build of his '46... I was especially impressed with all the time he spent with hole saws to lighten the inner body panels! RIP Jack.

 

Sorry to hear. I think I still have the T shirt with the orange coupe on it.

....Thanks to all who have given their condolences thus far & in the days ahead for the loss of our father. Dad left us peacefully early this morning in his sleep at age 77. For the record, he was born 6-22-1943 in Long Beach, CA & passed on 10-20-2020 in Riverside, CA. We greatly appreciate the outreach from the H.A.M.B. community along with the compliments given and memories shared of our dad's accomplishments as a lifetime hot rodder/builder here on the H.A.M.B. The family will ad images, information & anecdotal references here as time passes in the spirit of accuracy or just to share with everyone.....PRE48V-8\:^|
