You know of course that they disguised a '53 Lincoln(OHV V8 w 4bbl) as the Mercury for the climbing scenes because the Mercury still had the flathead and would no do the uphill pulls. If you look closely at the scenes, you can detect it.

 

Your not near anyplace that can fix that dent in your roof.
