Econoline straight axle disc brake conversion?

I said screw it..an just cut a hole in the floor. When I wanna stop I just put my feet down Fred Flintstone style...

 

I am sorry if I missed this but I have a Econoline axle that will be going into a 57 ford wagon Gasser. I see all the caliper and rotor everyone is saying. Why about spindles?

If you are trying stay traditional , the drum brakes are not bad. I ran 4 wheel drum brakes on my avatar and it stopped fine on some short 1/8 th mile tracks after some low 6 second passes. 10x2 inch drums on the front and 11x 2 1/2 on the rear. The car weighed 2580 with me in the car.

 

I have a econoline axle and spindles. D and D told me I need the stock brake hub. Anyone have a spare? Where can I find one?

Dennis sells all levels of kits from just the brackets, to full on complete kits. If you buy his brackets it's the lest expensive way to go. The rest the pieces are available at any chain store that sells auto parts, and will save you money over complete kits. But you can also buy a little more than just brackets from Dennis, and save yourself some time assembling parts.
