Most 59's were ugly, not just Buicks. One of the few that wasn't was the 59 Corvette.

I agree, even the 59 Chevy was ugly, but I sure wouldn't turn down a 59 El Camino

Jeez. I think 59 Impala, Buick and Pontiac 2 door hardtop are beautiful. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beer holder. :D:D

I mostly prefer Ford and GM '50s-'60s styling but for several years around and including '59, Mopars look as good or better imo.

If you have any tech questions there is a Facebook page for New Zealand 59 Buick owners club.

If everyone thought the same cars where beautiful we'd live in a world of mostly: 57 bel airs, 32 fords and 69 camaros....... Oh wait hahahahah

Seriously though 59 Invicta is great start to a kustom or whatever style your taste is..... It will be the only one @ 99.99% of the places you go. I'll be Looking for a build thread once you get started.

I personally think that '58 Oldsmobiles were an over-chromed, ugly car. If I had a chance to get a Super 88 hardtop or convertible, I would trip over myself to make it happen. I would love to own one of these examples of late '50's excess. I will guarantee that it would draw more interest at a local car show than a '57 Bel Aire. a '32 Ford, or a '69 Camaro.

I know some of you may disagree, but IMHO GM didn't make a single ugly car in 59. All just varying degrees of beautiful.
