I built my last 32 chassis and had more in labor hours than I could buy one for. Just curious who builds a quality frame for the money. I really just want a basic frame pinched for a Model A. I have another pipe dream I am working on.

I build them as well but mine tend to be higher priced and very detailed out. not just the typical 32 chassis. a lot just depends on what you are looking for

Cornfield, you might want to put a link to your website in your profile.
I searched it out, but might as well make it easy.

http://jwrodgarage.com/catalog-of-items/frames-and-chassis/ This company is located in Belgium Wi., so shipping has to be figured in. Years ago I knew the man that ran it, him and original owner have since passed away, IMO, their quality/prices were pretty good, a few guys I know built their 32's using their products, I'm hesitant to recommend them (or anyone) as the people running it now, I do not know and I moved away from that area 10+ years now. A Boner is a member from southeast Wi., contact him for current reference if you get interested in JW Rod Garage. AS always check reviews and get references on any manufacture you buy from.

  15. I used Street Rods by Michael 12 years ago. He was the only builder with a frame in stock. Tig welded and square. There's a mess of other builders that haven't been mentioned yet.

Gary ( Krylon32) built 2 for me. I was Very happy with them. Cornhusker Rod & custom is the company name. He has been building them for many years.

The build would be based on a 60’s drag car vibe . Surprise!

I would say 59-64 era. Cadillac powered with a straight axle and a 40 style rear crossmember. Manual transmission a 57-9 inch rear.

See, I had no idea that Krylon32 was Cornhusker.....

  19. I have a basic Blackboard Hot Rods frame in my warehouse in Okc, waiting for transport to BA. Gary Maxwell was great to work with and I thought the price was fair. Freight is a big consideration also, I used our company account to lessen the pain.
Pm me if you would like to see it. Shot of it in the jig.

Dont forget about Ionia Hot Rods... Probably not cheap, or quick, but their frames are beautiful.

“The best” and “the best for what I’m asking for”

Are probably two different answers. There’s a lot of amazing builders out there

I had Ionia Hot Rod Shop build me a 32 chassis, years back. It was incredibly well built, beautifully tigged.

  27. Define 'best'. Closest to original?
My question is about Blackboard's 32 frames and Kiwi Konnection's 32 frames. I realize these two guys worked for Squeak Bell years ago before venturing out on their own with Duane Jones buying the company, my question is are both of them building the exact same frame? If not what are the differences?

You really can't ask a question such as yours and get an answer. There are many shops that build quality frames/chassis and everybody that has a frame from a particular shop will tell you that they are the best. No body will admit that the chassis they have is junk. I have a T.C.I chassis under my Deuce roadster since 1989 and don't have any complaints.
