Traditional Fiberglass car? An oxymoron if I ever heard one.

  8. Traditional "looking" fiberglass car. Mine came in a little box with glue. I think it even said "traditional" somewhere on the box. 971c7a9bb08dff5334806f9f7dc74006.jpeg

    Just to bump this thread.
Though I do actually participate in this thread I agree with you, the title is kind of odd.

Well the first commercial made glass T bucket came out in 1957. By the very early 60's there were thousands of them being built and they were running flatheads, Olds, Buick, and etc. etc. etc. for engines. Early drum brakes, banjo rear ends, I could go on and on. A good friend of mine built a 23 (If I remember right) actual steel with a short pickup bed and it freaked a lot of guys out because nobody around ever saw a real steel one. Northeast Ohio so I guess most of them had just dissolved .

I’m confused. Do you guys feel that aftermarket traditional themed fiberglass cars are not with in the guidelines of the H.A.M.B.? If that be the case good question. maybe we can get the moderators to clarify?

Nice old photo's of the UK scene, and two of my favourite 'traditional style' glass car's, Jim T's roadster, and the ex-Pete Tyas chopped n channeled coupe - which later ended up in the USA for many years.

Another nice traditional style glass car from that era was this one built by Geordie Paul around 2002/3

So this thread is several years old and The O.P. (Fordor Ron) inquired about ideas for a future B or Model 40 project, we know that he became (Tudor Ron) in a Trade for a cool lil Red 32 (Tudor) Sedan. What did you come up with Ron?
Here’s my 80’s into the 90’s build that is body #4 Wescott 34 Roadster. (I know that it was posted before and even updated a few months back but this is a thought so sending ya some SO-CAL brotherly inspiration by “Stogy”in there too!!!!). ;). 62DF2A44-D33A-4414-AD46-D32FAD9798FA.jpeg

Built by Johnny best i no he will explain better. Runs a hemi push button box, it has a stretch in the rear frame for a fuel tank, and commercial grill, I think it has polished gel coat but was painted a light green by his friend smithy. If I can find more photos I will post them.
