    It looks a bit like a '54 chevy .
I also see a crossmember that will accept a transverse spring & a dropped axle !

pretty sure the one in the picture has rubber bushings on the control arms, Chevy was still metal in 54.

  4. Corvair used to be a swap, maybe it's that? Just a guess....

Cut it out. Go back to transverse leaf & straight axle it'll look a whole bunch better at the least .

Corvair or AMC Pacer. In any case that panel deserves a correct spring over dropped axle.

Worthless. If it's your car/project, get it out of there and return it to a spring with dropped axle.

  12. Not Corvair. Lower A frame used a strut like a MII, not a real A arm like shown.

This allowed Corvair to use a more petite crossmember.

With full fenders, bumper, lowered, if it works I’d use it. Looks a lot beefier than a M2 or copy which is under everything. I can’t see the steering but it clears everything why not. That’s what hot rodding is all about.

All I can figure out is cobbled together. The crossmember and lower A arms look like 49/54 Chevy but the upper A arms are off something else.
It would be best to cut that 70's back yard engineering off and put something more viable under it.

I think that is 1939-1940 Chevy Master Deluxe, or 1941-1948 Chevy passenger car front suspension.

Corn fed may have got it, I have a ‘62 Tempest and the front suspension unbolts like a Corvair or early Chevy but size-wise it’s in between the two. I’ll have to look closer tomorrow.

Tempest also uses a strut, the lower A arm does not look like that.

btw I found some pics of a 63 F85 front end, it's not quite the same...metal control arm bushings, not rubber.

yup, but they use a 55-64 Chevy car upper arm, and the mystery one does not look like that, does it?
