Anyone had your car hauled by a professional car carrier from So Cal to out of state and was pleased? I might have my car sold and the person would want it hauled to some where in Washington state. Any recommendations whould be helpful. Thank you. Exterminator

Last year I used Reliable to haul my 40 Ford coupe from LA to Nebraska. Couldn't have been happier. The couple that hauled the car were very professional and took good care of my car.

I’ve been very happy with Reliable

I had a customer that always used Wagoners. They seemed good too

Just looking at the row of Reliable rigs at Pebble Beach and the cars they were hauling tells me they are the company to use. Bob

I've tried using the "Biggies" in the past. The trouble with them is that they want to run coast to coast "in the lane" (interstate) with a full load and don't want to leave the "lane"
Operating in and especially out of the lane is where the smaller operators like Bill's Auto Works really shine.

The OP stated "Somewhere in Washington state" covers a lot of territory. A "big" hauler probably won't be interested in a small population area. You'll need to be more specific

  21. Are you selling transport too ?

Most Buyers think with their wallet.

Offer to store the car until a prospective buyer can arrange transport.

When working at Barrett-Jackson, I only ever recommended Reliable Carriers. I’ve used them to haul all my personal cars, too. Never had an issue; they are so good that they have the contract with Multimatic to deliver all the Ford GTs. Porsche uses them, too.

Durango is hundreds of miles from major highways...yet Reliable is my go to for shipping. Last car I shipped was a project car that did not run going to Florida. Reliable did a great job.

That's good to know. But, all things being equal, I would prefer to go with a "small" guy I could meet, and support, and who would be the person transporting my car. And a non-running project is a bit different than a GT40-unless the project is a Duesenberg SJ. :)

  28. Thanks Mark,

It was great meeting you & I was happy to deliver your car to you! Just so everyone knows, the picture Mark posted is NOT my trailer! I believe that is the sellers trailer. This is how I delivered to him. IMG_20200829_083155625 (800x450).jpg

Thanks for your post, for a moment I did think you had an open trailer for cheaper rates. Got to protect your reputation, glad to spotted that first thing. Bob
