Now I really understand the "Hell No" response! Yup that is SO wrong, or bad, or Fugly, or . . . . .

The thing that works FOR the Facel, and AGAINST the Edsel is the overall scale of the elements. The Facel Vega is nicely balanced in the headlight to grille ratio, whereas the Edsel would need some HONKIN' big headlights to offset that monster of a grille.

I'm guessing that if you drove that to a car show you'd learn that it was a secret 1-of-1 prototype. :)

Might be fun to take it to an Edsel event.

One thing for sure.. if they had come out looking like that in 1958 they would have out sold every manufacturer combined.

. . . and that's the Mercury Edsel -- the Ford Edsel has better lines.

  11. And I bet you all missed that the hood line goes through the top third of the '32 shell...nice detail...

There have been quite a few '32s with Edsel grills, so this is someone's revenge. Still don't make it right, though....

I got the idea looking at a late 60s Pontiac Grand Prix and Lincoln Mark III. Wonder what the Mark III would look like with a '32 grill instead of the fake Rolls grill?

The things you think of when you're board, I guess.

The cars that look most pretentious with a '32 grille are Model As.

Hi Photoshop champs! Could someone be so kind to channel this the depth of the frame please. Black tires and straight black wheels with no caps if possible. Thanks in advance.

Scaled the Deuce shell up a bit, tilted it forwards slightly, and pulled it back closer to the body; shortened bumpers and adjusted the side grilles to suit:

I think the forwards tilt makes a huge difference.

    ^...
Maybe taper the grill top-to-bottom width by about 2/3 ?
and bring the side grills & bumpers to accommodate the change
