Hot Rods Sexiest Valve Covers Ever

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Speed Gems, Aug 30, 2020.

  1. My favorite set of covers were Donovan Engineering that came off John Wiebe's front engine top fuel car. The sticker from the Dallas nationals were still on them. I bought them from Billy Graham who ran them on his funny car. All to new for this thread. :) I ran 392's, sohc 427's, 426's in hemi and wedge, fe Fords, Boss 302's in my dragsters. The Donovan cover has the lovely lines that make a 392 look great. :)

    These might not be the sexiest valve covers ever, but they are mighty rare. They are made out of titanium, by Jet Enginering of Lansing, Michigan. The only other pair I have seen were on a stock block Indy car in a museum.

    @Rodsports
    Had to look up 'fair dinkum'.

    Never heard it before, but it sounded like it might have a bad connotation. Apparently, an airline stewardess thought so too. Had a passenger detained for cursing at her. Probably should require a dictionary as part of the flight crew equipment ;)

  16. I was really pleased to get these, in my opinion they look sexy either dull or polished 20180216_195120.jpg 20180216_202728.jpg

    Then these big blocks I put together and polished

    Always thought the big block M/Ts have the best combination of size, shape, number of fins.

  20. I always liked the finned hemi covers too, don't own any of those but I have plenty BBC ones, another valve cover that intrigues me is the 1969 Z-28 canted valve 302.
