    No, it's Rico Squaglia's T roadster. Crackbon's was a RPU with a track nose.

The flamed streamliner was built by Ralph Schenck pre-war, and was powered by a '20s 4-cyl Chevy with an Olds 3-port head. It was sold postwar to (can't remember his name) who installed a flathead Ford in it; it was a cover car on HRM in the late '40s. It was destroyed in a trailering accident, and the parts were scattered beyond recovery. Terry Baldwin has acquired many of the original parts, including the Chev engine but excluding the body, and had the body re-created in aluminum a few years ago. I wouldn't call it a finished re-creation of the original Schenck car, but it's together and has been shown a few times.

Thanks @50Fraud for details and History on the Schenck Racer...I had trouble sourcing info on it from my typical search avenues...I was able with your thorough details find a link to share with it...;)

On a side note the 370 Roadster in the background is @paintslinger805's Grandpa's Hypersonic Hotrod...

...this Swedish Hotrod has a cousin (The Ice Box) that has been shared at least a few times in this Thread...however this is 'The Glowing Coupe' which was a Late Hamb era build with details that still are utilized in post Hamb Era Hotrod movements...it still exists today...

That Swedish 32 coupe with plastic ford Vicky roof is certainly different - especially 1960. Proves u can make a custom 32. Wonder what on either side of windshield - lights? Antanas

...Mike those were antennas in the Bullets protruding aka Jetsons and were later changed to lights...

This pic above was Showtime 1965...

Here is The Icebox another pretty wild Hotrod that evolved on this side of The Pond around the same time...and again very similar builds despite the 32/34 detail...

Though I'm a big inline fan and have been from the 60s a well built flathead is a beautiful thing. These old minimal mostly home builds are all I car for now. No time for FUFU.

Speaking of Gene's The Thing here it is full on frontal...I don't recall seeing it from this angle before...I always wonder what was behind the Heart shaped grills...maybe it was a sweetheart of a nasty Hotrod...:D

I think Gene is a Hamber...(think...) maybe he might chime in and shed some light on the grill...isn't it still around or is that a inspiration of...

Anyway Stogy show the pic already...:D

    Happy Friday Hoodlums...

Thanks for everyone's participation in this Thread...;)

Headed home from Where? Bonnivelle? There are some lesser known dry lakes on the East slope of the Sierras where Montgomery Pass comes out. I don't know if anyone ever raced there or tested their car away from any rules. I have deer hunted all over that country. The little settlement at the top of the pass is all gone now.

@Six Ball those pics are the same Hotrod but unrelated events...

Actually when I saw Rockerhead's pic with the sign I thought of the California Kid right away as it looks like the Nasty Ole Sherrifs turf...;)

...A Roaring Roadster kicking up some dirt for the up and coming race...

These early days highlight the Vulnerability of the Racers...it's all fun and games till you get into trouble...I remember reading they had a strap they held onto to pull oneself into the cabin if there was a problem...
