    Talking with a fella who has a block sez is marked B1.

    Seems like something is missing, any comments? .. thanks!

    With so little info, my guess is Brodix cast 12/12/79.

    Could be 1951 going by basic Ford nomenclature, like C4...1964.

    The 8BA changed to 0BA for '50 and 1BA for '51? So perhaps the fellow is talking about one of those...

    We need photos of the block. Does it have the cast in bell housing?

    81 - A......1938 ish the first 24 stud.
    An 8 can be mistaken for a B
