Back in the day used 57 Plymouth full hubcaps on my 14" X frame chevy wheels. Thought they looked good.

Flipper caps are simple and essential on post war kustoms . They are simple and effective as a kustom accessory. I don’t like highly ornamental caps as they become a weird distraction from the ride itself . They cover a great deal of the wheel and chromed they absolutely stun on the right ride . Here are mine on my 41 ford

Got chrome wheels on both cars, but I do have a few wheel covers. Wires off my 63 Galaxie, which turn out to be Mustang covers. 55/56 Chevy, 66 Impala SS, 63 Impala SS, 58 Chevy dogdish, 58 Impala, and 55 or 56 Buick. wheel covers (3).JPG wheel covers (4).JPG wheel covers (5).JPG wheel covers (6).JPG wheel covers (1).JPG

Not implying, stating as fact: the '56 Vicoria windshield is about 2" lower than the '55. It's the same windshield used on the Crown Vic of either year.

'40 DeSoto: your avatar is intriguing, and I don't think I've ever seen that body style, either stock or chopped. Are there other photos of it elsewhere on the HAMB?

I agree with you. The first factory spinners to achieve real popularity with hot rod/custom car guys, and they are still among the very best. I need one nice one for my wall collection!
