Finally!!! Brakes front and rear done! New bearings, races and seals. I can start plumbing them now! I still have to weld in my support braces but that’s no biggie. I want to load the engine and trans in and roll the whole thing dow to the pressure washer so I can clean up the engine and finish that stuff up. It seems these brakes fought me every inch of the way....just want to paint the engine, bolt it up and move on to the body!!
Thanks for hangin’ with me fellas!
Note: you can see my caster angle in these pics... IMG_2679.JPG IMG_2678.JPG

Got my braces welded in to add strength to the Xmember and more support for the wishbones.... damn.... I wish my hands were still rock steady, I have difficulty sometimes and I have to stop in the middle of a weld....getting old sucks!! I also boxed the outer sections of the Xmember.....I’ll be making a radiused plate for the center section....I’m debating weather I really need it or
    not....we’ll see...
    More progress fellas....YAY!!!!
    Thanks for stoppin’ by.....

Is it just a photo distortion or do you have a WHOLE BUNCH of positive camber built in?

Got the back half of the brakes plumbed.....Thinking of a way to secure the soft hose to chassis and torque tube. I’ve got a bunch of different T fittings and an assortment of other fittings. I’ll make some bracketry and secure the hose with some of the clips I bought. I’ll figure it out. Thanks for stoppin’ in fellas! IMG_2689.JPG IMG_2691.JPG IMG_2690.JPG IMG_2692.JPG IMG_2693.JPG

10 bucks plus shipping for brake hose brackets.....so I made my own! Got the rear lines, T fitting and flex hose wrapped up! I’m happy with it....I’ve already blead the master cylinder so I’ll hang that next and run the front lines. As long as can make a little progress every day, before ya know it I’ll be there.
    Thanks for hangin’ with me fellas!! IMG_2696.JPG IMG_2698.JPG IMG_2699.JPG IMG_2703.JPG IMG_2704.JPG IMG_2705.JPG

Thanks for checkin' in! Progress isn't as fast as I'd like, but sometimes other things have to take priority. I'm really enjoying the process though and documenting it for you guys! The moral support is greatly appreciated!!

Well....our good friend Mr. Bang had pointed out what looked like a camber issue that I attributed to camera distortion. He piqued my curiosity, so I took some measurements and a closer look. Well fellas....the pics speak for themselves.....I did snag another axle from Matt at Irontrap and got it ready for installation. Two steps forward and two steps back! It’s discouraging sometimes, but you guys give me the motivation!....oh yeah....the boss left me a surprise to cover the cost.....love that guy!! IMG_2726.JPG IMG_2728.JPG IMG_2729.JPG IMG_2727.JPG

Couldn't ask for a better owner/boss! He's a mechanical engineer and "persuaded" me to build it at work so he could witness the fabrication and overall process.....

Yep! I left the axles sitting on the band saw when I got called out of the shop.....he said..."you better take a closer look at that axle" before I went back in the shop....of course he vanished......:D:D
