New project I started a couple months ago, started with a stock frame and cab and grafted a Camaro front stubs, Camaro rear axle, basic sbc with full headers and smoothed out the firewall. And a quick coat of primer, next step is the fix the bed that got torched pretty good and finish drivetrain IMG_20200419_181225754_HDR.jpg IMG_20200422_185650298_HDR.jpg IMG_20200425_132952454_HDR.jpg IMG_20200426_170601120.jpg IMG_20200614_201033867.jpg IMG_20200614_123711975.jpg IMG_20200614_132029732.jpg IMG_20200614_153032870.jpg IMG_20200608_183905315.jpg IMG_20200615_160925990.jpg IMG_20200620_160751531.jpg IMG_20200615_165247530.jpg IMG_20200622_164711708.jpg IMG_20200620_214109382.jpg IMG_20200427_200800470_HDR.jpg

That is going to be a sweet truck when it is done. My buddy lost count on how many of those TF trucks he put subframes on over the years. They drive fantastic but as you already figured out getting the front end sheet inside sheet metal to fit is a challenge and a half.
One thing about it, it will be low enough in the front that no one will know what's under it unless they lay on the ground in front of it.

Yeah the frames are like they're meant to be grafted onto it I built another one about 6 years ago with the same recipe as I'm doing on this one you know I always loved how it drove the only difference between this one and that one is this one has about 2-250 more horsepower, it's hard to explain how easy it was LOL I mean even the Camaro steering column bolt right in with just a couple holes drilled FB_IMG_1592754898266.jpg FB_IMG_1589524169792.jpg

I got it running and driving and already putting it to work on the farm haha, my diesel was acting up and I needed to get a semi wheel so I put it to work. Next up is to do some bodywork and paint interior so I can put glass in IMG_20200626_202753478.jpg IMG_20200622_164711708.jpg IMG_20200715_180449038_HDR.jpg IMG_20200717_200350442_BURST000_COVER.jpg

Been a while sense posted but here is a few updates, I started painting the truck and got it registered and have driven it home and back a couple times now everything seems to be good no problem so far and I finally made a shifter with an 8-ball and a stainless steel cover to get rid of the one by one lol also got all the glass in, I also finished wiring the entire truck with a American Auto wire harness and hid it behind the seat for easy access compared to under the dash that way I can mount all my relays and fuses together, IMG_20200818_084058130_HDR.jpg IMG_20200818_084058130_HDR.jpg IMG_20200816_231611048_HDR.jpg IMG_20200802_193835775_HDR.jpg IMG_20200802_193838152.jpg

Nice work you are doing on your truck. I got one similar to it. Its a 7 foot bed though. Lowered all around with coil overs. driver side.jpg

This weekend the plan is to switch from 411 rear gears to 272, I drive the truck every day when I can now and 4000 RPM at 80 miles an hour just doesn't fly lol, pushes the engine more than it needs to be specially if I'm driving it close to 60 miles a day, I'll be putting roughly if not more than 1200 miles a month on it and the gas mileage alone is worth it, I'm also going to reprime it until next spring because we're so close to Winter I don't want to put a nice paint job on a truck that's going to be stored outside and driven on winter roads

I'll have to get a better picture but here's how the dash turned out, I also installed floorboard lights under the dash and wired the dome light all to come on when the doors open and also when you turn the headlight knob IMG_20200821_225400308_HDR.jpg

It's been a while sense I've updated y'all, life's been busy as all ever figured I'd show y'all ok franky,
I printed her blue and changed the wheels and put some porta walls on it and lowered it more in the back,
I've been daily driving it I did the math over 8000 miles sense last post IMG_20201127_163202_1.jpg

Here's a few more of the build I haven't posted, been using it as a daily at my work at the farm so it's been proving pretty reliable and a nice little tow rig for that and moving my house
Even finished driving it through a snow storm tonight so it's getting some abuse
I changed the bed to a less rusty one and made an exhaust using cheepo autozone 2 chamber mufflers that surprising sound really nice, I know it's not the most traditional exhaust but I scored the steps with frenched tips for I think 40? I don't quite remember
I also built a bed floor although i don't have pics of the hump in the middle, I thought about raising the hole floor but I didn't want that,
It's got a pair of new air shocks and load helpers in the back to help with towing and a few oddball things like a 64 falcon gas tank in the back frame rails

Plans are it might be getting some more frame work done so it clears better and maybe a 383 stroker soon we will see

Got any pics of the fuse panel behind the seat? I've got to rewire my truck, so trying to determine where to put it. Im a long way from doing that though. Thanks.

Excuse the mess I drive on dirt roads and i need to clean it also hid my stereo beack where the tank would be, I still need to tidy up a few things and finish a few wiring for my gauges but it works pretty good back here it's easy to get to

Ya it's a quick temporary bed floor for the winter time and my rear axle was hitting the floor so I put a hump in it

Just figured I’d post an update on the old girl, got sideswiped on the highway last June so we pulled it apart to finally finish it, went for a panel design paint job and put a 425 oldsmobile in it, just been driving the crap out of it, as my daily it now has at least 15000 miles on it sense I got it and we even took home a few trophies with it sense I last posted
