    Good call "kid"!

I just double checked it on Google and sure enough a good Cobra bite has enough neurotoxin to kill 20 people or even an "elephant"....

Did you hear that Jackson. And when was the last time Google was wrong about something?!!! LMAO!

    Randall,

Setting aside for a moment the "289ish" actual cubic inches, shouldn't the decal say "289 CI" instead of "289 CU" ?

Oh come on now boys. The original 289 had a 4" bore and 2.87" stroke. In 1968 they put a longer rod in it which changed the stroke
.13" . They left the bore alone and poof there was a 302. Now all we did was increase the stroke to 3.4" and the bore by .125".

According to my calculator from the original 289 (as now noted on the hood scoop) we have only changed the stroke by just over a half inch and the bore by .125" I mean over all we have barely changed the 289 by 5/8"! That is less than the width of a dime! Are you really going to give me grief over 10 cents! LMAO!!!

Actually I saw a lot of vintage drag cars from the sixties that said CU instead of CI. So I did some research and found through the years, there have been several abbreviations to denote Cubic Inches including: CU, cu in, cui, CI, c.i. I played with all of them and decided I liked the way the CU looked. LOL

Yep. Sorry about that. I was too concerned about being funny to notice. I did change it though on that post. Thanks for watching out.

MAYBE I should just go with 332 HP rating instead of the 289 nomenclature???

Well unless you are going to tell o_O the inspectors that the engine is a 289 I would have put 363, somewhat to brag. However if it is slow [or you goof] you can say what ja expect for a 289.
