Got my beauty rings in and on. Against the red barn paint i feel it looks about where i wanted it to.
Still finishing up my interior but next on the list may be this custom windshield visor idea i have in my head.
Also, still considering an almond colored roof, but haven't decided yet.
Anyway, a little side view just to share. Coolest daily driver i have ever had. I do love her so!

It's a 4 door 50 Plymouth, what could an almond colored roof hurt?

Bam! Just took me back to 1975 (?). My buddy, Dave had a blue one like yours and we went to the Saratoga County Fair (N.Y.) to see Olivia Newton John. Flashback!

it is as coool as a refrigerator... (To me and thats what matters)
Lowering is definitely a cool thought. She sits a bit better on level ground than that pic lets on but she also likes to do a crazy dance as is at any great speed on these crazy roads around here.

"Almond Roof Restaurant"! 1/2 mile from my house. Not bad food, for a place the governor has put the restricts on...Now they serve outside.

    As for your little Plymouth:

Don't deface her with that Visor-oo.

I LIKE IT !!! Some 4 doors r neat and yours is one. I can almost hear that split six.....one of the sweetest sounds known to man. Red wheels, dual exhaust, sweet little six, you can really get lost....in time........

I had sleepy eyes on a 49 Chevy sedan.... I don't think I'd buy them and put them on, but I didn't take them off... even had them on the parking lights

These are NOS i found. Still in the packs. No barcodes but cant say for sure when they were made. They are thick and the chrome seems to be of good quality. Nobody runs em anymore and they were "of the era" when and where i fell in love with these kind of cars. Just a nostalgia thing for me. Fits the "hippie" style that i have always been attracted to. I have dingle berries in the windshield. Gonna mount my hula girl soon... One way or another ;-)

Its a fun car to drive. Especially in the condition i got her in. She was really well cared for and maintained.

Yeah it was a great car. Mrs Beyers only drove it in 2nd gear.

  22. That's a pretty nice looking car, I really like he color on the car. not too crazy about the color on the wheels.

As for the idea of almond roof color, I think painting the wheels that shade would be a home run, that is the type of car that looks it's best if you keep it simple. HRP

Thats funny. A 53 chieftain i had had a little booklet in the glovebox from the sales place about "how to drive for women" and a bit about how empowering it was. I thought that was awesome. My grandma never drove a day in her life. Took the metro bus and subway everywhere. Its great when something like a car makes you consider another time period. Thats probably my favorite part of owning stuff like this

Yeah. I know not everyone is crazy about clashing but i like opposites on the color wheel. You kinda have to look at it in the big picture to get where im going with it. Doesnt mean you will like it but i think its starting to tie a bit of my quirkiness all together.

  25. See if someone in the Photoshop thread will try out your ideas. I'm not seeing almond, nor the need to paint the roof. I would try deep dark chocolate or deep black for the wheels. Or tangerine.

Is that dash color stock/original? And the soap green?

  26. Those door panels are wild.

Is that A/C and is it three-on-the-tree?

Yeah, im not set on the wheels. Good thing is its easy to repaint em. Im normally an aftermarket wheel guy but just doesnt work in my mind on this. They were black. The almond would look good on the wheels. Chocolate might be the best idea yet. Dont know how i missed that thought. I bought a whole damn gallon for my picnic table and so i had plenty left. Lol

I did the panels myself. I like em.

  28. One or two yellow fog lights would look good.

Right. Thought about those. Wanna do my visor first. Im making an all copper
mounting bracket with 2 single yellow plexiglass visors that are "flippable" over each windshield. Think "Dewayne-wayne" sunglasses. Flip em up when parked and down when driving kinda thing if at a show or something.

  30. Picnic table paint- too funny.

That dash color really goes well with the green.

You could do almond shapes (teardrops; pointy ends facing rearward) on the roof.
