It wasn't too many years ago we had to wait a couple months after an event to get coverage and pictures.
@Tman and it literally never dawned on me that it would take so damn long to get coverage on purpose. Ie. it’s almost happening again so get excited to go! that being said I’m loving the instant updates and sunrises from the salt. had a picnic yesterday with the family and we all listened with baited breath to the salt flats radio streaming live online as records were being made. Fantastic
I was recently looking thru the same issue and what got my attention was Bob Rufi's Chevy 4 cylinder bellytank, the issue commented on the use of an Olds cylinder head @ 16.5 compression... avi fuel ? But it ran 142 + mph, some 20 mph faster than some of flathead powered stuff. In that era 142 was impressive reguardless of engine size and the number of cylinders, pretty fast 4 banger... "Dyno" Dave
