I came across it on offer up. I'm sure it's not worth more than a couple grand

If it's a Chevy, which it looks like, there is a lot of wood in the body, with the panels nailed to the wood. That's why the door fits like crap. Lots of work to replace all the wood with metal or recreate all the rotted wood.

Looks like it has a Mustang II front end under it.

  6. If that is a Mustang II under it, that just dropped any offer to a 'thanks, but no thanks' offer. No card carrying HAMBER would even consider offering money on something that will just end up on some moderator's delete button. After all, 'tradition' can never become 'traditional' if it's not strictly, and vigorously, adhered to by 'traditionalists'.

Wow! You make it sound as if it could never be fitted with a straight axle again. A true “traditionalist “ would try to buy it right and put a dropped axle under it.

  8. Nope. That would be a hotrodder. The 'traditionalist' would pass, and look for something more 'traditional'.

  9. Isnt a HOTRODDER part of being a traditionalist? And NOT being a streetrodder !
