I wonder who would have built such a cool 62. Hope you are doing well Jim.

Thanks Jim D. With my medical ills behind me, I am getting back to my "old ways". I sure do miss those 10,000 rpm shifts in that Blue car.

In #7114 it seems to have snow tires.

Chuck I'm having a mental fart because I keep forgetting to hit the "post reply" button. I typed this about 3:30.

It may be a rare picture today, but in the 60s, we all put snow tires on our cars for the winter, as most of our cars were our daily drivers. I always ordered them with steel studs, which were legal back then. I have a really good race in the snow from then story, but that is for another day.

Jim, I remember running old snow tires I had kept on my 73 Corvette back in the 70s which I drove in the winter. Car was terrible in the snow but the tires were old so I removed them. I put some old weights in a brief case which I kept in the back compartment behind the seats-car looped a 360 a couple of times but part of the deal when you drove them in the snow. I also remember installing the studs when I worked at Arborland Standard in the early 70s.

Enloe, the manuscript portion is finished and is being reviewed by a publisher. Working on permission for photos. The whole process is a bit slow but I am glad I finished the written potion, although there are a few small changes and additions I have to make. Will have to get permission from Jim to include his 62 in the epilogue and a few others that still race their solid axles.
