    Hidey-go neighborinos!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything other than a “wow that’s cool” or “I think the shorts show off your calves better”.

Truth is I did the double whammy, I moved cities for a new career opportunity while simultaneously deciding “hey, kids look easy. I guess I’ll have one and see what happens.” It turns out they Sorta change your life. You’re sitting there in a hospital room with this little potato with a cute hat, and then they’re like, “yeah that’s yours now.. so.. like go already. Oh yeah, here’s NO instructions. Good luck, smiley face...”

Needless to say, I did not have much time for anything other than workee and kiddo. But man she rules. She’s kinda freaking brilliant. Definitely has a natural tendency to build shit... and she’s good at it. 4 years old and doing the technic legos on her own already... all while listening to her favorite band KISS, which by the way I had NO influence on and she discovered on her own. Like I said, she rules.

Anyway, this whole time I would sneak away and take Walter out for a drive here and there. Up to a show, etc... He always responded like a loyal dog; would fire up eagerly and tear ass at the drop of a hat. I love this car, it’s crazy to think I put this thing together in my 20s for less than the cost of a used Sentra.

I have a little more time now. She’s still my best friend, but Doesn’t need the constant attention like before so I can steal away a few hours a night and focus on my other buddy here.

There have been a few things that were bugging me. Them Holleys, which I love, are dirty leaky little suckers. The white engine as well as intake are all sorts of dirty from it. The master cyl had a slight leak. Shit faded a little and some things could be cleaned up. The front tires I always thought could be a tad smaller. I’m going to tackle a few of these things and dial this guy back in.

I’ll get it all cleaned up and going with 550x16s on the front instead of the 600. Shouldn’t lower much more but should look way better.

Also, and y’all that loved my Holley thread are going to hate this, but I have a rocket motor just waiting for something else and I found the most perfectest deal on a 4x2 with OG big logo 97s on it. I grabbed it up with the intention of swapping the bergs to my caddy... and I’ll still have this 4x2 with working (albeit dirty) holleys for when I find something appropriate for the olds:)

I’ll check in with updates. Thanks y’all. I miss you.

    I'm in.

Maybe I'm just ignorant. I knew the early olds and cads were very similar but didn't know they were closed enough to swap intakes... Unless I read that wrong. That's pretty cool.

I probably wrote it wrong :)

Swap carbs over. The intakes are the same carb-wise. So the bergs go to the caddy intake now....

Car’s looking good too. (This stuff, as you know, is fun but really a secondary thing we do for ourselves)

When I start thinking about not building the Caddy, I read your build thread.

Your little girl is so cute, being a parent is the best in the world. Glad to see you are still around with us members.
Your Coupe still one of my most favorite of all.

I have no doubt. She’s pretty set on building one for her. “When I build my Walter” she always says...

Little bit of progress. Mainly been cleaning up and washing stuff but I did get the intake polished back up and bergs moved over with the linkage back on. I’ll be keeping the hardline setup from before but will be polishing new lines and fittings this time...

    Gracias mi amigos!
Got the hard lines run and cleaned up the fuel gauge and block a little. I liked the routing of the old lines so I tried to keep it similar.
