Piddling around in the garage today.

 

Got the starter on and straightened up the wiring at the starter. I will put the rear shocks on tomorrow. I will rotate the tires while it is up in the air.

 

The North East Georgia Swap meet is on for Saturday at the Atlanta International Dragway.
We Will be taking a truckload of vintage car magazines from the 50s thru the 70s as well as other stuff. Come Find us and say whats up and hopefully buy something.

 

I have the truck loaded see you guys tomorrow in Commerce.

I hope you have better luck selling old car magazines than I do. I took 4 boxes last year to the swap meets priced, them at a $1 each for 60's and 70's and $2.50 for little books. I sold about 5 regular size and 2 little ones. I ended up being pissed off , they just got torn up with everyone digging through them and wanting me to give them away.

 

I do ok sometimes. The 1st swap meet I did everybody was thinking I was running a library. I put all of my magazines in bags with boards so they can’t read them.

 

I tried bagging and cardboard a while back, so then they took them out of the bag, threw the cardboard down then put the magazine back in the box. I caught one guy taking my magazine out of the plastic and using the bag to put some of his other junk in that he had bought from some one else. I can't win!

 

Enloe I know how you always plan on going to the hotrod reunion here’s official word of being postponed.

Well that sucks

 

Boiling Green in August whoa hot!
At least it probably won't rain.
I will have to think long and hard on that.

If we go in August it will probably be just for Saturday. that is the weekend for Ethan's 1st football game of the year

If I go up for just Saturday I will probably get a room somewhere.

 

We went to Crossville Tennessee Saturday evening. I was driving the Corvette and Ethan was driving his truck. We got there a little early. There is an hour time difference. We went to a little Italian restaurant had dinner then cruised a little. We actually left a little early because Ethan was driving the mountain road. We saw a mid 50s Suburban that was cool. There was also a GTO Judge and a Olds from about the same year that was pretty cool.

 

We had our first local cruise in today. It stormed here today so I thought they would call it off. My daughter and I were having some daddy daughter time so we rode down there in our OT truck. Here are some pics.

 

My friend Gene had his 55 and 57 there today.

 

Damn those 60 Fords....a star liner and a sunliner...very nice

 

My wife and I went out on date night Friday night. I gave the car a bath first.

I was pissed when I opened that email today. I was only going to be able to come up for Saturday because Ethan is supposed to have football game on Friday night that weekend. Well I guess if I live long enough I will see you next year.
