Working on the front glass of a 2 Dr Hardtop, pieces are the same as the covert The regulator seems to be buggered so I am looking at reproductions. Any recommended brands or maybe more importantly, brands to avoid? It will be out soon so I can evaluate further and plan from there. Danchuk has some worthy Youtube vids so that should help...
If the crank end is buggered. If you can find another reg. that you can switch the crank out. Repop regs just don't work as well as the real ones. The crank from a four door will work. How about a picture.
The regulator really looks pretty good, the issue seems to be a rusty & binding spring. I think a good soak to remove the rust & then a good lube should solve the prob... & Dan, a rebuild of an OEM part would money well spent in my experience.
