I'm thinking about doing some rust repair on my 52 F1 truck. Can anyone let me know if Dynacorn is a good product to use for replacement cab panels? Thanks in advance.
Shoot Aerocooler on here a PM as I believe he was using their patch panels and he has done several of that model trucks. He was especially using the front fender bottoms IIRC.
From "what I've heard" and my experiences......avoid after market replacement panels if at all possible. Get some sheet metal from an old fender (or whatever) and patch your spots after removing rusty crap. The panels may fit ....OK...but nothing like the original piece or NOS stuff. Haven't tried it but....instead of welding (if you don't know how) panel adhesives are darn near 'permanent' when applied right. JMHO 6sally6
Agree on the patch panels. Bought patch panels for 40 Ford from well known supplier and the door post area had more rounded profile and would not match up . Found a donor car and cut my ow which were a perfect fit. However, sometimes you have little or no choice.
I have not used them on a f1 but have used dynacorn on a off topic car fit pretty good but need some work to work great. The stamping are very good but still need in some work. Don’t think you are getting oem quality.
I tried to pm Aerocooler however there is no such member. Maybe the spelling is incorrect? Thank you to all who have responded!!
