Worthington Co Holyoke My father worked there as an inspector for 34 years, and I worked there the summer of '66 from 5:30pm to 3:30am, and 3 6 WP 1937.jpg around 8:30 pm I would go on the roof and close the clear story upper windows. At the end of the shift @ 3:30 am we would go out onto the street on the side of the building where we parked. My friend warmed up his '57 Chevy 2dr sedan with a '58 Buick 364/300hp, and Ford 3 speed trans, back out, and did a MASSIVE burnout every night ! The boss would turn to me and ask " Why does he do that all the time ? " shaking his head. I just chuckled.....

Hemidav, have you ever seen one of these working models of a Worthington steam pump? I'm working on one when I have time. Here's a link to a Youtube video.

Back to LB's picture of the T with a '37 Cord engine. I understand that you just copied the caption. But wouldn't it have been a Hell of a lot easier to flip the ring gear in the rear then make the engine run backward? That involves a special cam, starter, and many other worries.
