#TrophyTuesday: On July 4th of 1964 and 1965, A.J. secured back-to-back victories in NASCAR 's Firecracker 400 at Daytona International Speedway , with the '64 win marking his first NASCAR Cup victory in just 10 starts.
That's one legendary towing rig! Going to uncle's garage to help him install the parts from napa and 4WheelOnline on his truck. He used to be a tow driver in the 80's, I'll see if he still got some photos of the tow rigs he used.
Fire Dept. Tow Truck, this brought back some memories. The LAFD had a couple of tow trucks too. They were listed as "Heavy Utility" and used as both a tow vehicle for broken down fire apparatus, and for rescue work at major traffic accidents. This was a custom unit built by Crown Fire Coach, who was a major apparatus supplier to the LAFD. The Heavy Utility rigs got bigger and bigger... ...and bigger.
I wish I could find a set of chrome reverse wheels just like these. I’d take the GTO too, if they made me.
