Hi David Villa Jr. ! I wonder how many HAMBers know what "Ladies Entrance" means ? Us old timers remember when single or accompanied ladies were kept protected in a separate room at beer parlors from the rough rabble of single men! Lol 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
I remember reading the Snow Cruiser was a massive failure. Costing millions to build, after a publicity tour ( see photo) it was shipped to the Antarctic coast , unloaded and immediately got stuck in the snow due to its smooth tires and heavy weight. The trip to the pole was started anyway and didnt get far before it fell into a huge craves in the snow and was lost.... I guess its still there?
Hope he put in something a little more powerful than the 60 horse that Willys was born with. VW bus full of hippies would pass him like he was standing still.
I read that they were hesitant to cast Audrey Meadows (Alice) because they felt she was too pretty to be convincing as Ralph's wife. I've had a few issues over the years, but being too handsome was never one of them!
More on the Snow Cruiser, very interesting https://www.hagerty.com/media/automotive-history/lost-1939-antarctic-snow-cruiser-was-outrageous/
Seems like pretty flat land for a dozer. I've seen rolling hills in Eastern Washington farmed with dozers cuz too steep for tractors. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
