Hoping that posting will get this thread back in my daily updates. For no reason, all of a sudden I stop getting my notifications of new posts to watched threads. Anyway, what is the story of this Merc? Dates on the pictures seem backwards. Or did something bad happen to the car, and now is being rebuilt?

^^^^ Wow on the above Merc. The 51-52 Chrysler front bumper looks soooo good on a mid century Merc. Combined with the '54 Buick headlights and the hood being extended into the upper grill shell really pays tribute to the Dave Burgarin, Barris-built Merc (spelling from July '55 CAR CRAFT)
Mick, Do you have any info on the above Merc? I can't see any hood opening lines. Is it a tilt-front? I like the modified/peaked bumper and Olds grill bar.
I bought this as a stocker in 1990 and got body work to this point before selling it in 2005. Current owner got it running and driving. Note to self .... get all future projects running, driving, stopping before doing all the custom body work. Helps to keep the fire burning on a long project when you can get in, turn the key and have some fun during the build.
