Projects It’s alive!!! A 1964 Chrysler tale....

  1. It did clean up nice, still haven’t given it a proper detail and it needs the front seat recovered but overall it’s pretty nice

Did you check to make certain the fuel tank pickup, fuel line, or filter(s) aren't clogged?

    That car is looking great!

Back when these cars were not very old, my next door neighbor had a 64 Chrysler, turquoise.
One morning his family woke up to find him sitting on the toilet, dead. Heart attack. Why are you posting that car on a traditional hotrod forum? Those were never traditional hotrods

  4. Then feel free to never open this thread again.

    Please.

  5. I had the tank out the other day, so yes all that is good.

    Thanks for the compliment

A lot of cars were never traditional hot rods ... long roofs, moredoors, Edsels & studebakers ... Yet here they are on the H.A.M.B and killin it.

Carry on Sir. I guess some think it has to be a Ford to be traditional. ;)
Awesome car, I can think of many directions it could go, I like the direction you are going.

Well said, once again he comes on simply to bitch.
Rarely will he have anything positive to say or contribute.
Must be a lousy existence being that way all the time.

  8. Doesn’t bother me...the internet isn’t that important to me, if I have problems with how things happen then I guess I should do it myself!

  10. That ignore button really does put an end to the negative idiots. All the negative shit in the world and ya still gotta put up with miserable dickheads here. I was taught if you don't have anything nice to say, then shut the hell up :D

    This is so crazy fun...

  13. Days like today though where I finally got to just cruise down the road in the car with the top down makes all the other stuff seem not so bad.

That’s a matter of perception. Overall he has a history of doing what I said he does.
And I’m not the only one who has discovered that.

I´m glad you´re enjoying this rare rag top and getting all those small issues sorted out. I bet most of the rubber parts will be going bad sooner or later after all those years . That´s just how things are . My 65 Riviera ( @manyolcars please ignore this fact as it is not a traditional hot rod) had been parked since ´88 after being restored. It was a nice running and driving like new car but with only 55 miles on it since the resto back in 1988. In the first few months I offered a fuel pump, a water pump, one rear wheel cylinder, a brake hose , most of the engine and transmission gaskets , all 4 shocks and all rubber fuel lines to the gods of reliability.
You´ve got a great car and a lot of fun ahead of you!

Nice find and I like the early 60 Chryslers.

  19. I fully expect the same as I put more miles on it.

Also can we please not worry about manyolcars on this thread anymore, he expressed his opinion, which he is entitled to, I responded, I would like to leave it at that.

I agree with you 100%. ... except for the fact I have seen this same character on different forums and causing the same problems.
Yes sir Mr 57 fargo I agree with you and same time this character is known as manyolcars, bigolcars and others I do not know of, and a instigator to cause issues nobody want to hear about.

My next goal is to find a cure for Liberalism

Nothing like a nice day and a ride in a top down convertible. Great way to spend Father's Day, and ice cream to boot!:D:cool: Good looking family, you are blessed.
