  2. Is that the '32 that Oscar built in "Hot Rod " by Henry Gregor Felson?! If I remember from the book, Oscar's '32 was channeled deeply but not chopped.o_O

I'd sure give your wife a big kiss or take her out to dinner for spotting that!

That interior is a lot nicer that I thought it would be, had to be a dual purpose Street & Strip car. Bob

It looks to have the quicky channel. Where you cut the subframe cross pieces out, then slide the frame inside the body and mount through the topsides of the subframe. Hardly any cutting, and much easier to put back up top (as if a guy would ever do that ).

Way cool @axle. Great find, now the fun begins putting together the history. Another piece of the hot rod culture and history gets a new caretaker. All the best to you on this adventure, please keep us posted.

    Yes, about 5 inches.

  20. I'd walk by a Sea of $100K+ cars at a show and stop dead in my tracks when I came across this one.
Something about these unrestored "done back in the day" Hot Rods..Love it/them.

I'm sure this is one of many Drag Strips the car raced at. I'll know more in the near future, soon as the family discovers more artifacts inside the estate.

Thanks I've been lurking a long while, and my son said what you looking at then the next thing I can join in. Still got loads to learn as the computer age is not me, but I'm trying. I've been into hot rods and customs since the late 70s 80s. Don't no where it comes from old bw films my dad, maybe. For my 60th birthday my friends an me made the trip to the grand national roadster show and bonneville, I was born 26 01 59 and I've promised myself I'll be back. Thanks

  30. Congrats on getting this one Axle . A real hot rod in every way. Reminds me of when I found my old drag coupe. This is very exciting in deed.:)
