I've seen that car somewhere on the internet, remember reading about running the reversed Halibrand wheels. Nice car, think it was road raced back in the day. Bob

I like the earlier version without the lower cladding better, but I guess that's why we are all here.

 

Very innovative, kinda has a Highland Plating vibe to it. Thanks for sharing it.

wow, I knew had seen that car on the net once.. love it..

 

I remember discussing this car with him at Laguna some years ago. I knew a little bit about his father Ira, who built the car, as he was famous for his involvement in miniature (tether/track) racing. He built many high performance engines for model cars and aircraft, some of which went into production. All of them are highly sought after by collectors now.

I oddly prefer the early wrap around windshield to the other versions. Usually not something I'd like. So ugly its cool?

 

SRM did a story on the car in the 90s, thats the era I like the best. Car ran at Bonneville as well.

 

This car is Epic Kool.... On Sooo many levels... Just Wow! $

 

I sent a message just the other day to the owner asking if he had any larger pictures. What a cool car! That front suspension is thinking way out of the box.

Bummer that his family had no interest, damn I'm glad someone has it that will take care of it.

I would love to see more pictures of every version over the years.

 

I'm guessing Gary & Diane Cerveny ... who lost 30 of their cars (including the Norman Timbs Special) to the 2018 "Woolsey Fire" in Malibu.

 

Better hope Moriarity doesn't catch site of that IFS, he might delete this thread....

I caught the road race vibe off the first B&W shown here. That front suspension looks kinda like a Delahaye 135. All these photos are ace. I gotta get my nephew onto this site. Maybe he'll pay Alliance membership. He has to see that blower. 22 y.o. obsolete blower collector/enthusiast.

 

I saw this car often at local shows growing up. It's so weird that it's cool.

Genious meets Hotrod Material back in the day and I liked the Wrap Around windshield b&w Version best but this man obviously wanted and engineered Road Race built into Primitive Beauty...Thanks for Sharing that Wild Thing and 150mph Wild at that...
