Back when 'blood had his gallery in the OC he used to have an open house event on the Thursday night of the NHRA Winternationals. Kenny introduced me to Steve there and I got to chat with him on a few occasions at subsequent events.

I cut this photo collage out of a photography magazine back in the late 70s, I think. there is no signature, and no information on either side of the page. I don't suppose there is much chance, but if anyone can identify the artist, I would love to find a better quality print of this piece.

Though this was pointed out by another artist, who did credit Steve and, thankfully, you can see Mr. Stanford's signature fairly legible on the image. Cropping out signatures is a big NOT.

Jigger, thanks for pointing that out. "Wicarnut" is not one to cheat an artist out
of his due credit. There are folks on the HAMB that are quick to jump on somebody
and often they leap a little too quickly. Don't know whether it makes them feel
superior or they want to show themselves as all-knowing. The old adage "look before
you leap" still comes into play.

It may also be social media syndrome. How often do we see a post that asks a question or something and , even after a dozen people have already answered correctly or pointed out a flaw or, you name it, People continue to respond having never read any prior responses.

I would just like to say thanks to everyone for your all your post this week. Also wanted to say that I'm sorry for not recognizing an artist's signature. I'm not an artist, and I don't take Art, or even Hot Rods very serious. It's just a Fun thing for me. Thanks for letting me play along with all you professional artist. I don't really know that many artist, or their names. Some use their real names, and some just artist names, and some are just from the HAMB. lol So just keep on posting all the COOL, and FUN stuff!!! {A photo I took for the diecast Tuesday thread.} Thanks Ron.......
