They're available from Mac's (maybe others), part number 81C-811850/1.

I checked around and see they are temporarily unavailable at all the typical sources. Might contact Chuck's Trucks and see what he can do for you. Good luck!

You can fix it if you have it. Usually it needs the spiral spring.
It’s a pain in the butt to do.

    More detail needed....,

What do you have to work with and where. Inside the door?....The post?

    This is the future...
In the past there was enough interest in buying repop parts for often retired guys to set up and build 500pcs. of a part... lots of guys, lots of different parts, most fit.... now the old guys have stopped building the parts and there are not many pups stepping up to fill the void...
and the old guy Chinese aren't making repops that fit...
I don't see the interest in buying parts increasing to the point of guy gearing up to build 500 more of a part...
so... if you want a part don't put it off thinking they repop it so it will be there when needed...
gave my snyds catalog to a buddy, needed something... found an old 2002 copy, there was a bunch of parts offered then that are gone now... spend your $1200... or some of it...

If you can't find a Ford door latch, maybe you can make a door latch for a 39-47 Dodge truck work. Dodge used the 39-47 cabs on all the military trucks up until the mid 70s. www.vintagepowerwagons.com re-pops the Dodge latches. Gene

Thank you very much for the information

  16. If you are considering non-stock latches, I can help you out. See my signature.
Have you taken a close look at your original latches to determine what is not working good on them? As suggested, the springs can break. Or can just be worn surfaces that can be welded to build back up.

  17. Good used off of eBay. That's where I got mine for the '41.

Or you can try the Early Ford Store in San Dimas, Ca.
