My son and I built this 39 Ford Coupe Convertible in 1999

 

Did someone say sunrise on the salt?

 

It’s a magical place for sure. From those long quiet morning tows from the pits to either the long or short course,the sound of George Poteet on one of those 400 MPH runs,the party atmosphere at the overnight camping site at the bend in the road or the town of Wendover at night with its two styles of night life (Utah/Nevada) and the best parking lot car shows on the planet

 

I drove my ‘31 RPU on deuce rails from St. Louis, MO to B-Ville for Speed Week in 2008. One of my greatest adventures. Hot Rod Mecca! While driving across the salt to the Pits I saw this Cessna sitting all by itself. They obviously flew in to watch the races. Regardless, it was photo worthy!

 

Only twice has my RPU been topless, First drive to an event 2011, and during re-assembly after paint 2013.
