I am not really a custom guy. I enjoy them but I rarely comment because I don’t have a lot of knowledge. With that being said my favorite part is the color choices and the imagination. I would never think to paint a car with the colors above but wow!!! Nice car for sure!

My attempt at a custom when I was 20 yrs old. Although I have to admit I didn’t paint it. I traded the work for rebuilding a ford 429 and was more like the apprentice. Learned a lot.

  5. This one is pretty damn impressive..these cars can’t be killer Mild Kustoms...or Street/Strip machines....

  7. Amazing how important a color is for certain cars
This Buick in bright yellow would be horrible...but Milner’s yellow Chicken Coupe in AG, is perfection
Struggling with color choice for my ‘64 98 Coupe. Leaning towards Eastwood’s Agave Green Metallic as a base, which is actually close to the factory fern mist green.

I’m wondering what it would look like sitting in my Garage.

I learned to ride a motorcycle on a Triumph tiger single carb while in the USMC. When we were sent on deployments someone got volunteered to stay behind and take care of the barracks like SWEEPING all 4 floors daily LOL. Anyway the guys that went left their keys to bikes and cars for the left behind guy to start and drive every once in awhile.

I have followed this thread with great interest and here incredible vehicles appear in the mild custom style. There are also amazing jewels but they are on the custom side and do not belong to this thread, they are not the same, am I correct?
I ventured to make my own version of a 50 'mild custom merc influenced by thousands of photos shared on HAMB, from the early 50's and I have invested hours and hours to make my own version. Many things influence: the cars that have motivated you, memories of childhood and youth, your real possibilities and your personal taste, and those that each one can consider. After 4 years in the workshop I share my own version of my merc 50 ’“ Paco Blue ”mild custom. I welcome your opinions as lovers of old cars.
You can follow the construction process in the thread I built from this dream come true. I hope you have fun with it

I love this 63 vette. Stinger scoop, off road exhaust, whitewalls, 5 spokes, de-badged and that thin stripe on the beltline.

@19cafmwb34 Nice find. You'll have a lot of fun with that car, but you can probably answer your own question by reading the first post of this thread, actually the first paragraph of the first post, by Centurion9

Chopped cars are not "mild customs", by definition. Neat cars shown above, but not really appropriate for the thread.

  23. Mild Kustom.....folks think nosed, decked, shave handles, lowered stance, nice paint....simple mods that make it look different than a stocker... 948349C9-C025-4FFB-BB3E-B0E7A421AA6E.jpeg

My 53 Buick Roadmaster Riviera is getting the following
    Nosed
    Decked
    Rear lowered 2-3 inches
    53 Cadillac hubcaps
    Bias ply wide whites
Porter muffler run as far forward as possible
    Hellings air cleaner
    Chrome Valve covers
Re dyed upholstery and leather repair
Its shell grey and seamist roof, black and red gut.
I'm thinking of red carpet to brighten the interior.
